HISTORY

1914
Oohara Institute for Agricultural Research was founded.
1921
The Institute library was established.
1951~1952
The Institute was affiliated with the newly founded Okayama University.
1952
"Book Stacks"(a three storey building) was constructed.
1953
The library was renamed the Library of the Institute for Agricultural Biology, Okayama University.
1964
The library became a branch of the Okayama University Library and was renamed "The Institute for Agricultural Biology Branch Library".
1972
"Periodical Stacks"(a four storey building) was constructed.
1988
The Institute was reorganized as the "Research Institute for Bioresources".
1994
"Shiryokan"(a three storey building) including archive and collection areas was constructed.
2004
National University was incorporated.
2010
The Institute was reorganized as the "Institute of Plant Science and Resources".
