The Institute of Plant Science and Resources (IPSR), Okayama University is delighted to organize an international forum entitled “IPSR International Forum on Plant Stress Sciences by/for Junior Researchers 2024” to be held in a hybrid format. We sincerely call for your participation to it as presenters and audience.

The aim of this forum is to promote young scientists who will lead plant science in the future and to provide an opportunity to network with established scientists in the field. The theme of the presentations will be "Genetic resources and plant stress science linked by bioinformatics". Students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty members are invited to submit oral presentations related to the theme. Based on the submitted abstracts, approximately ten oral presenters will be selected. Each presenter will have 20 minutes for presentation plus discussion. The organizing committee is committed to achieving a high level of diversity, equity and inclusion. Transport and/or accommodation costs for the selected speakers will be subsidized in accordance with the Institute's rules and regulations.

A keynote lecture will be given by Prof. Jian Sun (Shenyang Agriculture University / Yazhouwan National Laboratory, China). The tentative title of his presentation is "Innovation and Application of Germplasm Resources in Weedy Rice."
