All the photos presented at the top of our HPs are from Chile. Because of the ongoing joint project, I had several opportunities to visit there. From Japan, it is literally on the opposite side of the planet! Hope we will have the chance to visit there soon, after the pandemic situation resolves.

Only 10 days are left for this year. Did you notice that the day is getting longer from today? Yes, Winter Solstice!
The photo shows results of ongoing H. akashiwo growth experiment. The alga grew well in the wells tinted with brown. May look one of those kind of experiments, but actually, I am excited. Hope we will be able to talk about it here in detail soon!

People tend to think Okayama, or Setouchi area, is warm region. Even people from the are think so, too, but it is not quite true! Usually, the highest/lowest temp here are lower than those in Toyko by 1°C or more. Stay warm!
