RESEARCH
Plants are stressed by various abiotic and biotic factors during growth. However, some plants have developed efficient strategies to overcome these stresses. In this group, we focus on the mechanisms of plants to tolerate mineral stresses, which include deficiency of essential elements and excess of essential and other minerals. We are especially interested in Al toxicity stress, Fe deficiency stress, and heavy metal excess stress. The uptake system of silicon, an element which alleviates multiple stresses, is also being examined. For more information, please refer to our publications.
