International Workshop on Genome Modification for Sustainable Crop Development

We successfully hosted the International Workshop on Genome Modification for Sustainable Crop Development at the IPSR, Okayama University. This event was held as part of the Joint Usage/Research Center initiative.

We were honored to welcome three distinguished speakers:
– Dr. Cathie Martin from the John Innes Centre
– Dr. Minako Sumiyoshi from Sanatech Life Science Co., Ltd.
– Dr. Yuriko Osakabe from the Institute of Science Tokyo

Each shared their insights on crop improvement through transformation and genome editing, encompassing the full spectrum from technological innovation to societal application.
A total of 49 participants attended the workshop.
